Here's the Zoom link for today's session. We'll be covering Transitions and Notes questions. We meet at 10:30am PT/1:30pm ET. I'll see you there!

I understand there are different types of questions on the SAT Reading & Writing Section, such as Core Reading Questions, Command of Evidence (COE) type Questions, etc. Is there a structure that the test follows when it presents you with these different types of questions? Ex: 7 Core Reading questions and then 4 COE questions after that.
This is for the Saturday, 1/17/26 session. We start at 10:30am PT/1:30pm ET. A video replay will be available shortly after the session.

Your new practice portal is live and loaded with SAT® Reading & Writing Mock Test 1—I encourage you to take it as soon as possible. This mock test closely mirrors the more challenging Module 2 format and includes all the interactive features I've been telling you about: highlighting, note-taking, strikeout functionality, and detailed performance analytics.

Here's the simple process:

Dear Code-Breakers Crew,
Great news! The new quiz platform launches this Wednesday (August 6th) as scheduled, complete with all the exciting features I announced: side-by-side formatting and a full-module mock tests, with progress tracking and targeted practice progressively phasing in over coming weeks.
The new platform goes live with all its enhanced capabilities. However, transferring your existing quizzes, exercises, and practice questions from the current platform is taking a bit longer than anticipated (better to get it right than rush it!).
To ensure you have full access to all your materials, I've arranged for the previous platform to reactivate for an additional month alongside the new one. This means:
✅ All your course quiz/exercise links are live and working right now
✅ Starting Wednesday, some links will take you to the new platform, others to the current one
✅ The transition will be seamless—you'll simply click and practice as usual
The first time you're directed to the new quiz platform, you'll need to register using your email address. After that initial setup, everything flows smoothly.
This extended transition period ensures you get immediate access to the new platform's game-changing features while ensuring full access to all course practice materials during the transition. No interruptions, no missing content—just enhanced functionality when you're ready for it.
The investment in this robust new platform will give you an even stronger advantage on test day. Thank you for your continued patience as I complete this upgrade!
Best regards,
Dave Walker - Founder, Walker Prep
Dear Code-Breakers Crew,
I hope your prep for the August SAT is going great. I have some exciting news to share about an upcoming enhancement to your course experience!
Starting Wednesday, August 6th, I'm transitioning all course quizzes, exercises, and practice questions to a new, much more robust platform. This upgrade will significantly improve your SAT preparation experience.
The new platform offers game-changing features that will better prepare you for test day:
Side-by-side formatting: Instead of the current layout where answer choices appear below passages and questions, you'll now see:
Passages on the left side of your screen
Question stems and answer choices on the right side
This mirrors the actual Digital SAT experience much more closely, helping you become comfortable with the real test format while you practice.
Full-module mock test: A complete Reading & Writing mock test designed to mimic the more challenging Module 2 will be available immediately on launch day, giving you additional realistic practice to help prepare for exam day.
Progress tracking: Monitor your improvement with detailed analytics that track your performance by skill and question type, helping you identify strengths and areas for continued focus. (This feature will begin rolling out on August 6th and will become progressively more robust over the coming weeks.)
Targeted practice: Generate custom practice sets focused on specific skills and question types where you need the most work, making your study time more efficient and effective. (This feature will begin rolling out on August 6th and will become progressively more robust over the coming weeks.)
Important: During the transition period (starting today through August 5th), the current quizzes and exercises will be temporarily unavailable. I know this is inconvenient, and I appreciate your patience during this brief transition.
When the new platform launches on August 6th, you'll receive:
Login instructions for the new system
A brief orientation on the enhanced features
All quizzes, exercises, and practice questions in the improved format
This upgrade represents a significant investment in providing you with the most effective SAT preparation tools available. The enhanced user experience and test-like formatting will give you a distinct advantage on test day.
Thank you for your patience during this transition. I'm confident you'll love the improvements!
Best regards,
~ Dave
I've just added Appendix 3: Strategic Time Management to your SAT Reading & Writing Mastery course.
What You'll Gain:
A strategic sequencing approach that maximizes your score by tackling questions in optimal order
Precise timing checkpoints to prevent the time pressure that causes most students to miss easy points
Clear guidance on which questions to prioritize based on your target score
A simple system that transforms test anxiety into strategic confidence
The Bottom Line: Most students lose points not from lack of knowledge, but from poor time management and question sequencing. This module gives you a systematic approach to capture all the points within your ability level.
Next Steps: Review Appendix 3 asap and start practicing this approach.
This represents a significant addition to your course materials—I'm excited to see how it helps maximize your score gains!

Greetings, Code Breaker Crew!
With the August SAT less than 5 weeks away, now is the time to get serious about your prep. I've just added some powerful new content to help you master the most challenging Command of Evidence questions on the SAT:
Unit 5.6: Mastering COE Cause-and-Effect Questions - Learn to tackle COE questions that test claims like "studying more leads to better test scores" or "room temperature affects productivity." You'll discover how to identify independent and dependent variables and apply your existing comparison skills to these trickier question types.
Unit 5.7: Mastering Indirect Reference Answer Choices - Master one of the most sophisticated COE patterns where answer choices use "stand-in" terms instead of directly mentioning claim elements. Learn the simple 3-step approach to handle these complex situations with confidence and speed.
Appendix 2: Real SAT COE Questions Featuring Indirect Reference - Practice with authentic SAT questions that demonstrate the indirect reference pattern, complete with explanations to help you identify the key associations.
These advanced COE patterns appear regularly on the SAT and often trip up even strong students. Here's the thing: these strategies aren't "rocket science," but attempting to master SAT Reading & Writing without these strategies can definitely seem like rocket science. Mastering these approaches will transform what feels overwhelming into something systematic and manageable.
But understanding these strategies is only the first step. For them to work for you on test day, you must practice them until they become habituated—second nature. This doesn't happen overnight. Remember: we don't rise to the occasion; we fall to the level of our training. With less than 5 weeks until the August test, every day of focused practice counts.
The new units build directly on your existing COE comparison skills, so you'll find the concepts familiar yet more sophisticated. Don't wait—dive into these units now and give yourself the edge you need for test day.
Happy studying!
~ Dave
Hi!
In order to prevent the course discussion topic from getting cluttered with link announcements, I've created a new topic: Score Accelerator Live Sessions. If you're currently enrolled in Score Accelerator, please make sure you are following this topic, so you receive the new Zoom links each week. This is a private section of the forum, but I have already granted access to all current Score Accelerator students.
The link for tomorrow's OPT Workshop has already been posted. You can find it here: https://app.podia.com/community/topics/191112
See you soon!
~ Dave
I'll see you there!
